Iranian filmmaker joins Sydney Short Soup jury

Iranian filmmaker Mohammad-Hassan Shah-Mohammadi has joined the International Jury Panel at the Short Soup Film Festival 2018 in Australia.

Shah-Mohammadi has been selected for the jury of the Short Soup International Short Film Festival in Sydney, the organizers announced.

Francesca Scalisi from Italy and Iqbal Barakat from Australia are the other jurors at this section of the festival.

The 2-minute animation ‘Notification’ by Alireza Taheri is the only representative of Iran to compete in the main competition section of the Australian event.

Born in Tehran, Shah-Mohammadi holds MA in Information Management from Tehran University. He has made more than a few award-winning short films as director, writer, producer and distributor.

The festival will present 15 short films from Australia, Canada, Ecuador, France, Iceland, Poland, Iran, Spain, Ukraine and the US in different categories.

The Short Soup will be held on January 28, 2018, at Cathy Freeman Boulevard in Sydney, Australia from 8-11pm.
